What is WordPress:

 

  • WordPress is an open source CMS (Content Management System) written in PHP and paired with a MySQL database.
  • For persons who has no experience in coding, it is the best tool for develop websites or blogs. This is a free software anyone can install it easily.

 

        Installation Process of WordPress on Localhost.

  • Install the XAMPP file on your system after downloading is complete. Before you can start working on WordPress, you need Apache or MySQL. So, you need to start them only.

  •  If database MySQL or Apache server is running then it means your localhost is now ready to work or if your server is not ready then it means your localhost is not ready to work.


Step-3:

 

  • It’s time to download and extract WordPress. To do this you have to go download WordPress for wordpress.org/download website to download.

 

  • After going to WordPress.org, move the page downwards and click on download as shown in the picture.




  • After complete downloading the WordPress in a zip files so now the Extract file to htdocs folder under the XAMPP as shown in the picture.
  • Right click on the WordPress zip file and click on Extract here file.



  • Now open the XAMPP folder and then put the files in the htdocs folder as shown in the picture above.
  • After performing this process, give the folder a custom name as shown in the image below.

 




  • Now we have saved the WordPress file to local server.  On the other hand now it's time to install and configure WordPress in the browser. To do this, open your browser and tap the Localhost / enteryourfavnameoftheFolder. Don't use space while writing Enteryoufavnameofthefolder.
  • This will then take you to the configuration page. It will ask you to choose a language. After select language and click on continue.




  • After clicking on continue next page.

 

  • So now we need database to install WordPress on localhost.


Step-4:

 

  • As you can see in the above picture, that we require a database to installation WordPress so that all data is saved in the database. For this, now we will type localhost/phpmyadmin in a new tab and will open it. 





  • After open phpmyadmin we will create a new database by clicking on New as shown in the above picture.




  • As you can see in the picture above, if you click on New, then he will ask you for a name then you will write a name of your choice and click on create button. In conclusion after creating database he will appear on the right side of phpmyaddmin.





Step-5:

 

  • After creating database we will go on the WordPress setup and press the let’s go button as shown in the below picture.

 

  • In conclusion after complete this process he will ask some questions which you have to answer them.
  • In conclusion now you enter the database name, set root as a username, enter the database host, and leave the password section blank. As shown in the picture below and click on submit button




  • After completing this process a new window will open and said be if you want to installation process that click this button so you will click button then the installing process will starting.

 

Step-6:

 

  • Here you are, the site name, the username, the password and the E-mail. At this point you have to enter the correct email and password and then you have to click on the button installed WordPress as shown in the picture below.

 



  • This username and password are used to login on to the WordPress so remember it. Furthermore now click on login button it will take you to the login page.



  • In conclusion add your Login detail.




  • Finally your WordPress dashboard has been opened.





  • In conclusion WordPress installation has been completed.
